The Lighthouse

We are amid a crisis that architecture has played a central role in creating. If you want my opinion, I will tell you that at this point there is little hope, for the closer one gets to understanding this crisis, the more one sees that it is not a crisis of environment, but of thought. Though we remain connected, our ways of knowing have been disentangled from ecology, from profound coexistence. If there is any hope, it exists in finding a place for architecture in the space between ecology and the need to signal.
